We were tired of typical bookclubs & social media, so we made our own

Humble Hive is an online community and social media platform for book lovers, that does things differently.

Exhausted from the requirements of typical book clubs and the overwhelmingly negative, political environment of today’s social media – we decided to start fresh and create a book club/social media platform that’s focused on growth & connection, and leaves you feeling energized, not drained.

OUR MISSION

To make reading more social.

In a time where people are feeling more isolated than ever, we believe reading is the perfect catalyst for thought-provoking conversation and meaningful connection.

Not only that, but by uncovering common beliefs and interests, reading has the power to bring people of different backgrounds together, and possibly even spark unexpected friendships – all of which creates an opportunity for us to develop a deeper understanding of perspectives, cultures, and lifestyles different than their own.

TL;DR – Our mission is to create a community where book lovers can read more, connect with others, spark new friendships, and experience deeper personal growth. Ultimately making the world a better, kinder, more understanding place.

WE BELIEVE IN…

Being an active advocate for things that matter to you.

Our promise is to create a community that positively impacts every single one of our Humble Hive members, and then to take that positive impact one step further…

With time, we plan to donate a portion of all Humble Hive Memberships towards a number of causes that matter to us.

We believe in making reading more accessible

Humble Hive will use a portion of profits to give books to individuals who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford them, so they too can grow, learn, and be inspired through the power of reading.

BIG DREAM: We aspire to lead a movement that enables higher literacy rates in communities where reading is not as economically accessible, and sponsor libraries in these areas around the world.

We believe in saving the bees

It’s no coincidence that we, Humble Hive, believe in saving the bees. Our name serves as an homage to the strong community and hard work characteristic of bees, and the massive impact these tiny creatures have on our world as a whole.

Devastation to the bee population means devastation to ours. And we plan to use our platform as a means of helping save them, while they do the same for us.

This isn't our first rodeo

Having 5+ years of experience working for Slack and 2+ years coding in Corporate America, we know the ins and outs of building an online platform from the ground up.

We have the technical skills, as well as the endurance and improv skills to endure and adapt to our community’s desires in order to create an app they’ll truly love.
